The 16th Iranian All Petanque and Bowls Championships for selecting men, women and juniors’ national teams together with the 17th General Assembly of the Iran Petanque and Bowls Association (IPBA) were organized successfully in Tehran during January 13-17, 2025. Last week, was the second time that the most famous international venue of Iran “Azadi Sport Complex” hosted the national annual of the IPBA.
Dr. Jasem Manouchehri Founder and President of the IPBA, Executive Board Member of the ABSC and Director General for Developing Petanque in the West and Central Asia Zone, said: “It was one of the biggest IPBA national events in which, 23 out of 31 provinces of Iran, had delegates in the competitions and, for the first time, the medalists came from nine provinces in six competitive categories, which of course this diversity of champions means that new powers have emerged in our association. As a proposal of our board in the GA, Hamedan city, HQ office location of our association, is the most probable host for the 17th IPBA national championships in the coming summer.”
