Our commitment for a Clean Bowls and Petanque Sport
The use of doping substances to enhance performance is by definition reprehensible and contrary to all sporting ethics.
Committed to giving pétanque and boules sports the international and Olympic recognition they deserve, our federation is fully engaged in the fight against doping.
To this end, we are implementing measures to fight, prevent and educate against doping, based on our Anti-Doping Code adopted in 2011. We urge all federations and athletes to follow our lead by committing themselves, and we will be at their side to support them.
About anti-doping
“ Every petanque and bowls athlete has the right to clean sport ! ”
Doping can be harmful to an athlete’s health, damages the integrity of sport, and is morally and ethically wrong.
The World Petanque & Bowls Federation has produced postcard-sized Anti-Doping flyers in 4 languages - click on the flyer to enlarge it
The flyers are available to download from the WPBF & FIPJP Anti-Doping website. Nations wishing to do so can download them / or link them to their national web page if they wish.
All Bowls and Petanque Sport athletes participating in the activities of international federations and participating in major Petanque and Bowl Sports competitions under National WPBF-FMBP jurisdiction must abide by the WPBF-FMBP Anti-Doping Rules.
