On course for Chengdu
Qualification for the World Games (for the 2023 and 2024 seasons), which will be held from 12 to 18 August 2025 in Chengdu (China) for boules.World Games programme : For Pétanque, each qualified federation will send one Women's and one Men's event. In 2025 we will have one more event than in 2022 with the Women's Precision Shooting, the Men's Precision Shooting and the Mixed Doubles. The athletes will be fully supported for 6 or 7 days and, as the World Games are placed under the aegis of the International Olympic Committee, most of the National Olympic Committees will now cover all or part of their travel costs, as well as those of the so-called ‘extra-officials’ appointed by the federations - coaches, trainers, physiotherapists, masseurs.... - provided they mention this early enough. Qualified federations should not hesitate to remind their NOCs of this, as well as the fact that the World Federation (WPBF/FMBP) is now included in the official list published on the IOC website and that Pétanque & Lyonnaise are also included among the recognised disciplines - details see "read more"
World Championships Dijon 2024
The City of DIJON, the FIPJP, the FFPJP & the Côte d'Or (21) Committee are ready to host the 51st Men's Triplettes World Championships & the 17th Precision Shooting World Championship which will take place in Dijon (France) from 05 to 08 December 2024 at the Zénith de Dijon. You can find all the information about the various competitions and the programme on the DIJON 2024 website and detailed results on the FIPJP DIJON 2024 website.The World Petanque and Bowls Federation has produced postcard-sized anti-doping flyers in 4 languages. A French/English version will be printed on paper for distribution on the AD stand at the 2024 World Championships in Dijon. The flyers can be downloaded from the WPBF & FIPJP Anti-Doping website. Nations wishing to do so will be able to download them / or link to their national web page if they wish.

The World Petanque and Bowls Federation has published the Boules & Pétanque rankings for the next World Games 2025, to be held in Chengdu, China...World Masters Games 2025 Taipei & New Taipei City
It’s the first time that PETANQUE has been included as an official discipline in the “World Masters Games”. The World Masters Games 2025 Taipei & New Taipei City features 35 different sports, comprising a total of 283 individual sporting events. There is no upper age limit for players, and no prior qualification is required. As long as players meet the age requirements specified in the Sport Information Guideline, they are eligible to register. Registration for the event is conducted on an individual basis, and interested players can complete the registration process by visiting the “Register” section on the official website, which directs users to the registration portal.The games aim to blend athletic competition with cultural tourism, offering players a unique chance to engage in friendly sportsmanship and immerse themselves in the rich culture of Taiwan.
